One of our garage baby's

This is one of the baby's that hatched in our garage this summer. It fell out of the nest so we put it back in. The next day or so, all four of them were trying to fly so we let them go free.

Spring is the best!

These pink carnations bloomed really nice this spring. Spring is the best time in my garden.

Mellow Yellow

There's nothing mellow about this yellow zinnia.
It's managed to stay beautiful even in the dry summer we are having.

Something new!

I purchased this new perrennial at a local garden shop that is closing down.
I was afraid planting it so late in our current drought would
not be good, but it's still looking nice.

What's within

The Canna lily bloom before it flowers is
fabulous as seem in the one in my garden.
If we all focused more on what's within us
than just beauty we would be much better off!

The birds planted a sunflower in my garden!

I've never planted sunflowers; however, I use sunflower seeds in my bird feeders.
So the only explanation I have for this sunflower in my garden is... the birds planted it!

Thanks God for our Freedom

This is the closest I could come to red, white and blue in my garden.
Thank God for our freedom.  Happy 4th!

Strike a Pose

I was sitting near the feeders yesterday to cool down
after gardening and this red bird stopped by and posed for me!
