Other than day lily's, I believe this phlox is

the only other orange flower I have in my gardens.

An old time favorite

I bought this candytuft plant this year. 

 It's an old time favorite that I remember planted at my home as a child.

Wild At It's Best!

This is a great shot of the blooms from my wild azalea.

New this year

I am terrible at remembering the names of perennials

that I purchase so I don't know what this is!

It doesn't matter as I love all of them.

The color purple

Purple has always been the color of royalty. This Iris in my garden represents a beautiful shade of purple. In the case of Easter, it has a dual meaning... primarily it represents the kingship of Jesus, but it's also a reminder of the robe that the soldiers put on him as they were mocking him prior to the crucifixion.

Lily of the Valley

This little bug is enjoy his rest on my Lily of the Valley!

My azaleas are nice this year!

Another new perennial

Thanks to Lowe's and their $2.50 perennial sale,

I have several new additions to my gardens this year.

I loved the variegated tones of pink to this one.

It came back!

We had such a dry year in 2011, I was concerned that some

of the new perennials that I planted would not survive. 

 This one did! 

Where did these come from?

These beauties popped up in my gardens this year

and I am not sure where they came from. My mom is

always bringing me cuttings and bulbs so perhaps

 I came about them that way.

Tulip

I am always excited when I have a tulip bloom.

 I have never had much luck with them. This year I have one!

Until next year...

I have two camilla shrubs and they are blooming out for this season. 

 I look forward to their blooms next winter.
