My hummingbird friend

This little guy took over our hummingbird feeder this year as his own. He sat up in the tree all day until another hummingbird came near 'his' feeder and he came down from the branch and chased them off -- then flew right back to his lookout branch!

Lots of bird families moved into our bird houses this year. I have watched this one

 since he was a little guy and he really likes to pose for the camera.

My first pink hydrangea

My mom rooted this hydrangea from her blue one and gave it to me.  Shortly after I planted it I was delighted to have PINK blooms.

This little baby blue bird visited my gardens recently.

It's probably one of the babies hatched in one of our birdhouses!

Cooper and his Love for Gardening!

Cooper - one of my five dogs is deaf. He loves to help me when I am gardening..  He is usally right behind me digging up everything I plant! Good thing we taught him the 'sign' for "No!". He really does enjoy the outdooor and takes time to smell all the flowers. I guess its becuase there is so much to see and he is extremely visual since he can't hear. He has been sick for a few days and I am looking forward to him feeling better so he and I can play in the dirt again together.

Pre-Bloom

This hosta has a very unique pre-bloom look pictured here.  The blooms are actually a lavendar color. Love it!

A Delicate Beauty

I have had this perrienal for about 3 years and wonder each spring if it will come back because it seems so delicate.  As you can see, it came in as a beauty!

Got my 'Green Thumb' from my Dad

I went to visit my Dad today and took him a bouquet of flowers from my gardens.  I told him that I guess I got my "Green Thumb' from him and it put a smile on his face. Over the years, his yard has always filled with beautiful flowers.

I haven't posted many picture since last fall as I've suffered with multiple bouts of diverticulitis and recently had corrective surgery.  I received this great floral arrangement of encouragement this weekend from my co-workers which really lifted my spirit. I really look forward to getting back outside to My Therapy Garden in the next few weeks!
